Cosmic Kids Yoga

About a month ago, I thought I would see if I could find a good yoga site for Jack, my four-year-old to do. He is a very active kid and loves running, jumping, and dancing around. His balance and coordination are a little lacking. What I found was a wonderful series of YouTube videos by Cosmic Kids Yoga. This article is not a paid advertisement, but a comment on how much I love these yoga videos.

TheĀ Cosmic Kids Yoga videos teach kids about mindfulness, go through guided relaxation, and teach children how to do different yoga poses. My favorite videos are the Cosmic Kid Yoga Adventures though. The videos range from 10 to 30-minutes and take kids on an adventure through the telling of a story while they do the yoga poses. They are very engagingĀ and Jamie, the woman who tells the stories and leads the kids through the yoga poses, does a great job! Her stories are very engaging and Jack, Eva, and Marie really love the stories and doing the poses with her.

Some of the videos include stories about cats, bananas, and going on a bear hunt. But, there are also videos about Moana, Trolls, and Frozen! These videos keep the kids moving throughout the entire yoga workout/story and her backgrounds are always very interesting too, which helps keep the kids engaged in the story.

If you are looking for something fun to do with your kids inside the house this summer, you may want to try pulling out a Cosmic Kids Yoga Adventure. It’s a great activity when it is too hot outside or raining. Plus, it helps develop balance and coordination. And you can sneak in your own little workout by doing it with them! I know my kids love these videos, and hopefully, yours will too!

  1. Have been teaching kids yoga in Pasadena believe me its a treat to work with the kids. Not only for videos, otherwise also kids are quite energetic and open to experimentation. You just need to hold their attention and interest which sometimes becomes a bit tough.
